Hey there,

My name is Ilan Flint, and I’m the founder and manager of this website.

I started it one day in 2013 because I couldn’t find the sound recorder on my computer, and found no “microphone test” website online.

“hmm, weird..” I thought to myself. Searching for something on Google and not finding it was an uncommon experience. “Would other people be looking for this too?” I thought, and decided to create that microphone test website myself.

At first, it had no traffic. After a few months, though, something started moving. As I saw the daily number of visitors ticking up I realized that other people find this microphone test thing useful too, and decided to add more tests and tools. With the help of family, friends and professionals, this site began steadily transforming into what it is today. It’s not done transforming yet: new things are still being added!

So that’s the story. I’m proud of this little blue and orange website, and I hope you’ll find or have already found something useful for you here.
